SIA-SSB is among the European Information & Communication Technology leaders providing services and solutions to international financial community in the areas of payment card processing, payments systems, capital markets and network services for connectivity and messaging.
Created by the merger between SIA (Società Interbancaria per l'Automazione) and SSB (Società per i Servizi Bancari) in May 2007, SIA-SSB Group currently operates in over 30 countries and has subsidiaries in Belgium, Hungary and South Africa.
In terms of numbers, this means that we are a Group composed by 7 companies and over 1,800 employees able to manage 7.2 billion payment and card transactions per year, to execute 2.5 billion transactions on financial markets and to carry 9.9 terabytes of data on the network (2008 figures).
